To celebrate the launch of “Spider-Man 2” for the PlayStation 5, Marvel has reimagined several adidas shoes – including the Ultra 4D, UltraBOOST J, Impact FLX II, and Adizero 12.0 football cleat.
Inspired by Peter Parker’s Symbiote Suit, the adidas Spider-Man 2 collection features both Spidey’s iconic red and blue color scheme, as well as Venom’s pitch-black tone. PRIMEKNIT uppers on the Ultra 4D also enjoy logos of your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man, but the 3D-printed outsoles encroach on the bright-colored medley up-top, using adidas 4D technology’s lattice shape to play into the Venom symbiote’s takeover perfectly.
Accompanying pairs of the UltraBOOST 1.0 for kids and Adizero 12.0 football cleat are designed similarly to the headlining “Spider-Man 2” adidas shoe. Patrick Mahomes’ cross-trainer, however, champions Peter Parker’s nemesis, taking on a mostly “Core Black” finish throughout its upper and sole unit. Profile 3-Stripes interrupt the uniform look, but wane in comparison to the vibrant blue that lands across the turf-friendly shoes’ outsole. Together, each footwear option by Marvel and the Three Stripes brings Stan Lee’s comic book vision to sneaker form.
Sweatshirts, compression tights, and other items for gamers and non-gamers alike will be offered as part of the celebratory collection. Additionally, Marvel’s “Spider-Man 2” – which launches on October 20th – will include adidas-branded products in-game on some of the citizens.
Enjoy a first look at the collaboration ahead. The “Peter Parker Advanced Suit and Venom” collection will be available via the adidas app, online, in-store, and at select shops on October 20th. Select PlayStation Plus members will receive an email from PlayStation today (Tuesday, October 3rd) with details on how to sign-up to purchase a pair earlier. Pairs of the kid’s adidas UltraBoost and Impact FLX II “Venom” also launched via Early Access for adiClub Members on October 17th.
