Back in 2020, French-Algerian multi-hyphenate Younes Bendjima and his brand/creative agency Studio FY7 were officially inducted into the New Balance family. And roughly three whole years and an entire pandemic later, Bendjima is finally reuniting with the footwear brand for their second-ever project, which draws direct inspiration from the Mediterranean Sea.

Younes-Bendjima-New-Balance-576-1

A stark departure from Bendjima’s 992 in terms of colorway, the Studio FY7 x New Balance 576 is predominantly constructed out of a blacked-out suede. Said material runs the length of the shoe, contrasting the silver metallic trims and bright aqua “N” logo layered adjacent and over top. These fixtures — as well as the white finish of the laces and midsole — come together in aid of the shoe’s inspiration, symbolizing the distinction between the Mediterranean’s rocky coastlines and its blue waters.

Enjoy an in-hand look at the Studio FY7 x New Balance 576 ahead. These will be available on June 23rd exclusively through StudioFY7.com for a retail of €220 Euro.

In other news, a first look at the Aminé x New Balance 610 was recently revealed.
