The “Ghostbusters” film franchise and Reebok aren’t strangers to one another, having produced thematic footwear over the past several years. Ahead of “Ghostbusters: Afterlife,” which premieres on June 11th, the Massachusetts-based brand has created an Instapump Fury covered in Psychomagnotheric Slime (or Mood Slime).
Although the PUMP-assisted silhouette has had a penchant for bold arrangements throughout its 27-year-history, it’s seldom emerged with slime-reminiscent graphics. Mesh and synthetic leather construction boasts hits of white, neon green, pink and purple, with the latter three tones nodding to the ghouls that’ve appeared on-screen since 1984 thanks to Ivan Reitman’s original film. Unlike previous propositions from the aforementioned partnership, the forthcoming pair abandons the iconic “Ghostbusters” logo in favor of a simple red circle with a diagonal line through the middle placed on the PUMP system’s button. Some ghost goo drips onto the midsole, but the majority of the sole unit forgoes any bold hues or patterns.
