Since at least 2019, NIKE, Inc. has been making a company-wide, concerted effort to neutralize its carbon footprint. Through the “Move to Zero” campaign, the North American sportswear behemoth has made strides in the sustainability space by modifying its retail presence, manufacturing process and corporate operations. Yet, no endeavor has gone as celebrated by the public as eco-conscious footwear, with the Nike Dunk Low Next Nature leading the charge.

At a glance, the latest proposition appears like any standard pair of Peter Moore’s iconic 36-year-old design, but closer inspection reveals otherwise. Under the “Next Nature” banner, Nike Sportswear product is crafted with at least 20% recycled material, and is typically denoted with a swoosh-wheel logo on the tongue label and/or sock-liner. A previously-seen “White/Black” Nike Dunk immediately became one of the brand’s most-coveted products, which only suggests the latest “White/Cream” option will do the same. Synthetic leather throughout the upper pairs with Nike Grind material on the grey outsole (apparent by the faint speckling) to create a familiar, but refreshing update to the made-for-basketball silhouette.

No firm Nike SNKRS release date has been confirmed, but that’s likely to change in the coming months. In the meantime, enjoy official images of the shoes ahead.
