From layered apparel influenced by West Coast streetball to a series of tracksuits embellished with purple thread, the collection — while mostly diverse — stems from the relatively straightforward duo of footwear: a Rivalry Hi as well as a Crazy BYW. The latter, which is likely most fitting of Shanguan Zhe’s design aesthetic, is left primarily as is in form though through color it applies loud hits of neon green at the heel, subtle markings of blue and purple around the ankle, and a striking gum tone along the tread. And between the white leather panels and matching doubled tongues, the three stripes arrives clad in a neutral camo print. Then, in departure, the Rivalry Hi prefers to remain more understated as only the profile’s logo hits are given a reflective treatment.
