Revealed on the runway earlier in the year, Maison Margiela‘s official collaboration with Reebok is set to hit both their retail channels later this month, setting forth what is said to be a multi-season partnership. Their first release, which draws from the atelier’s current re-evaluation of the bourgeois, fuses both label’s staple silhouettes: the Tabi boot and the Instapump Fury.
Effectively the brain child of their product thus far, the aptly named Tabi Instapump Fury melds each model’s most signature and recognizable elements into one cohesive shape. The upper, which draws from each template the same percentage, layers the inflating bladder atop a leather-constructed base, the latter taking on either an 8-hole or Chelsea styling complete with the ever-famous tabi toe. Below, these two variants also alternate their toolings as one the flat favors the sole of Margiela’s Retro Fit while the heel reinterprets the design of the Instapump Fury’s bottom.
Revealed in a number of colorways — some reminiscent of OG palettes and others more versatile in Triple Black and Triple White — the offerings are set to arrive at the Margiela Concept Store on Crosby come September 22nd with Reebok.com following shortly behind on September 23rd.
